About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Workshop Foreman to join our team in Pretoria. As a key member of our workshop, you will be responsible for ensuring excellent customer satisfaction, maintaining high levels of productivity and efficiency, and providing technical guidance to mechanics.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with their service needs and technical queries
- Plan & coordinate vehicle repairs and maintenance
- Ensure excellent customer satisfaction
- Maintain workshop housekeeping
- Comply with OEM workshop standards
- Provide technical guidance, on-the-job training, and mentoring to mechanics
- Allocate work efficiently based on technician skill levels and workload
- Liaise with service advisors, warranty teams, and OEM technical support
- Ensure workshop productivity, efficiency, and turnaround targets are met
- Enforce health, safety, and workshop cleanliness standards
- Assist with root cause analysis and repeat repair prevention
- Support warranty claim preparation and technical reporting
Requirements
Previous experience in a similar role
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to thrive in a busy environment
Qualified automotive technician
Proven experience in a foreman, lead technician, or senior diagnostic role
Advanced diagnostic skills
Valid drivers license
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
