Position Details Job Title: Actuarial Analyst Industry: Actuarial Location: Gauteng You will provide support to senior analysts and managers, using actuarial models to identify, model, and monitor business problems to provide effective solutions. You will be responsible for translating results from impact and sensitivity analyses into business insights regarding pricing changes, profitability, and policy growth. Requirements: Education Essential: Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science or similar. Advantageous: Making good progress toward an Actuarial qualification. Experience Essential: 1 or more years of actuarial experience within a Short-Term insurance environment. Skills & Competencies Modeling: Ability to develop financial and economic models for planning and monitoring. Data & Tech: Competence in Data Mining and Machine Learning to extract patterns from large datasets. Software : Proficiency in Actuarial and statistical software, as well as Advanced Microsoft Office Numerical Skills : Strong background in mathematics and statistics. Behavioral : Strong financial acumen, business insight, and the ability to manage complexity and ambiguity.
