About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Pretoria. As a proven new-business hunter with experience selling into the logistics, transport, fleet, or trucking environment, you will be responsible for winning new commercial business in a competitive market. This is a field-based, target-driven sales role requiring consistent prospecting, pipeline development, and deal closure.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively sourcing and securing new fleet and commercial clients
- Building, managing, and maintaining a robust sales pipeline
- Managing the full sales cycle from cold prospecting to close
- Engaging decision-makers and growing long-term commercial relationships
- Taking full ownership of targets, activity levels, and results
Requirements
- Proven new-business sales experience (hunter role)
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar role
- Background in logistics, transport, fleet, or truck sales
- Comfortable with cold calling, door knocking, and self-generated leads
- Strong commercial and negotiation ability
- Self-disciplined, structured, and performance-driven
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
- Own cellphone
