About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our client, a reputable automotive company based in Pretoria, Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and contributing to the growth of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business
- Meet potential client by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network
- Identify potential client, and the decision makers within the client organization.
- Research and build relationship with new clients.
- Set up meetings between client decision maker and company’s practices leaders/Principals.
- Plan approaches and pitches, work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the clients needs, concerns, and objectives.
- Participate in pricing the solution/service
- Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreement, and working through differences to a positive conclusion
- Drive new business opportunities through RFQ process
- Drive pricing and profitability discussions with customers
- Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships
- Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends
- Submit weekly progress reports and ensure date is accurate
Requirements
- 3-5 years of customer/commercial experience
- Automotive Industry Tier 1 experience will be highly advantageous
- Completed Bachelor’s degree
- Proficiency in CAD software
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
