About the Role

Our client is an established professional services firm providing accounting, tax, and related financial services to a diverse client base. The firm places strong emphasis on professional excellence, long-term client relationships, and staff development within a structured, performance-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and execute accounting deadlines for a diverse client portfolio across various industries.
Supervise and mentor SAIPA accountants and SAIPA trainees.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients and maintain strong professional relationships.
Review junior staff work to ensure quality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
Identify risks and recommend practical solutions to improve financial processes.
Manage resources and ensure work is completed within agreed budgets and timelines.
Ensure compliance with tax legislation, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts.
Manage VAT, income tax, and provisional tax processes.
Handle SARS-related processes, including registrations and disputes.
Ensure statutory compliance, including CIPC and other regulatory filings.
Support financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Perform ad hoc accounting and financial duties as required.

Requirements

Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant (newly qualified or awaiting final registration).
Completed undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Accounting.
Final board examination written and passed or results pending.
13 years post-articles experience in an audit and accounting environment.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
