Pretoria: Data Administrator – ERP/Data Migration

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Administrator to join our team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data administration, data migration, or database support, with relevant qualifications in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field. This 36-month contract is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to work on a large-scale ERP implementation project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support data cleansing, extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) activities for the ERP implementation.
  • Work closely with internal ICT, business owners and the ERP implementation partner to prepare data templates, consolidate data sources and validate data quality.
  • Maintain a controlled data repository for ERP migration activities (storing source files, working files and final approved files).
  • Assist in defining and implementing data quality rules, validation checks and exception reports.
  • Prepare and maintain data mapping documentation, source-to-target mapping and related registers.
  • Support test cycles by preparing test data sets and validating results during SIT and UAT where data related.
  • Track and report on data migration progress, issues and dependencies.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics or related field.
  • Minimum 35 years experience in data administration, data migration, or database support.
  • Experience in ERP data migration or large system implementations will be an advantage.
  • Strong MS Excel skills and exposure to SQL / databases / data tools (advantage).
  • Familiarity with data quality, data governance and information security practices.

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics or related field.
