About the Role
A global systems integration and solutions company is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join their team. As an expert in Kubernetes and Rancher, you will play a key role in building resilient, automated CI/CD pipelines and maintaining highly available infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain production and non-production Kubernetes clusters, leveraging Rancher.
- Design, build, and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines for application deployments across our backend (C#/.NET) and frontend (Flutter) services.
- Oversee the smooth and controlled release of software across all environments (Dev, SIT, Production).
- Implement and manage robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure high system health, performance, and uptime.
- Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to automate environment provisioning and configuration, utilizing tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Manage the deployment and configuration of essential system components, including RabbitMQ, Redis, and PostgreSQL.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to troubleshoot infrastructure issues and optimize application performance.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience managing containerized environments with Kubernetes (K8s) and demonstrated expertise in operating K8s clusters using Rancher.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience building automated pipelines with tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket CI, AWS DevOps, or similar.
- Experience managing multiple environments (Dev, SIT, UAT, Prod) and promoting code between them.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience deploying and managing message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ) and in-memory data stores (e.g., Redis).
- Solid understanding of Git for source control and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Familiarity with the build and deployment pipelines for C#/.NET and Flutter applications.
- Knowledge and experience integrating security practices into the CI/CD pipeline.
