Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and enhance the firewall management platform (commercial and custom-built components).
- Develop platform components, integrations, and automation workflows (Python, APIs, database queries).
- Troubleshoot complex issues across networks, systems, and applications.
- Coordinate, delegate, and guide external service providers for operational and development work.
- Ensure platform stability through patching, monitoring, performance tuning, and risk identification.
- Prepare environments for go-live and provide post-deployment support.
- Maintain accurate documentation (technical specs, procedures, training material).
- Participate in incident, change, and problem management processes.
- Engage with stakeholders as the technical owner of the platform, including international teams.
- Participate in standby, shift, and after-hours operations as required.
- Travel internationally for up to two weeks when necessary.
Requirements
Essential Skills
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking, routing, and firewall security architectures.
- Advanced troubleshooting across systems, networks, and applications.
- Solid programming skills (Python preferred) and experience with API, database, and network integrations
- Experience delivering and maintaining complex software solutions, including automation.
- Hands-on experience with operational processes: patching, monitoring, log analysis, performance optimization.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, scripting, and automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with enterprise governance processes (incident, change, problem management).
Advantageous Skills
- Experience with firewall rule management platforms (Tufin preferred).
- Strong Linux experience; additional scripting/programming skills (Bash, JavaScript).
- Experience with containers (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Experience coordinating work packages with external service providers.
- Ability to analyze complex environments and propose improvements.
- Strong communication for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Agile methodologies and release management experience.
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant technical degree (BSc/MSc Computer Science, Information Systems, BEng in Computer/Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
- IT diploma candidates with exceptional hands-on experience may be considered.
- Minimum 5 years experience in complex technical environments.
- Demonstrated practical competence through prior projects, portfolio, or real-world problem-solving.
