About the Role
The Assistant Financial Manager role is a full-time on-site position for a Group Assistant Finance Manager located in City of Cape Town, supporting the boutique hospitality group’s financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements and manage budgets
- Handle audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Support senior finance management in strategic financial planning
- Oversee bookkeeper to ensure tasks and deadlines are met and transactions are recorded accurately
- Provide financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting
- Assist in day-to-day financial operations
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and financial planning
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools (Xero/Dext/Payspace Advantage)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Xero and Dext experience advantageous.
