About the Role
Join a 24/7/365 trucking call centre managing fleet support and breakdown coordination in Pretoria East, within the logistics industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing breakdowns, diesel authorizations, and load capturing for a trucking fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrange repairs and maintenance for trucks and trailers with dealerships or approved service providers.
- Authorize diesel filling at approved stations and capture fleet data including litres, date, and kilometres.
- Capture load data on the system including departure times, load mass, and arrival details.
- Monitor trucks for unauthorized route deviations and take corrective action with drivers.
- Manage driver sleep plans and initiate recovery protocols in the event of an accident or hijacking.
- Oversee the booking and inspection of pool vehicles and report damages to the Technical Manager.
- Provide regular feedback to fleet controllers on repair statuses and compile daily breakdown reports.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in a logistics call centre is required.
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification is required.
- English language proficiency is required.
- Ability to commute to Pretoria, Gauteng.
- Willingness to work a shift rotation: 3 days day (06:00 – 18:00), 3 days off, 3 days night (18:00 – 06:00), 3 days off.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Logistics or Transport Management is an advantage.
- Afrikaans language skills are desired.
- Knowledge of other official languages is an advantage.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: R10,000.00 – R17,000.00 per month.
