About the Role

As an ICT Manager at Rosstone, you will be responsible for leading the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our physical and virtual server infrastructure. This includes managing power distribution units (PDUs), ensuring proper cabling, and configuring physical servers, storage, and networking equipment. You will also be responsible for optimizing performance, managing server capacity, and configuring virtualization solutions like VMware or Hyper-V.

Key Responsibilities

  • Racking, cabling, and configuring physical servers, storage, and networking equipment.
  • Managing power distribution units (PDUs) and ensuring proper, organized cabling.
  • Installing, upgrading, and patching server operating systems (Windows Server).
  • Optimizing performance, managing server capacity, and configuring virtualization solutions like VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Applying security configurations, performing vulnerability scanning, and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Creating and updating documentation regarding system configurations, network diagrams, and incident reports.
  • Tracking inventory, documenting server configurations, and managing vendor relationships for repairs and maintenance.
  • Developing and maintaining backup and recovery solutions to prevent data loss.

Requirements

  • National Certificate
  • Matric Grade 12
  • BCOM in Commerce and IT Management Degree
  • Microsoft Certified: Solutions Associate (MCSA)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
  • Cyber Security Certificate
  • Prince 2 Project Management
  • ITIL Service Management Foundation
  • MNE (Master Network Engineer) Diploma
  • ANE (Associate Network Engineer) Diploma
