Qualifications & Experience
- 3–5 years’ proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the transport & logistics sector
- Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Strong technical understanding of:
- Taut liner freight – national and cross-border
- Side tipper operations – national mining sector
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Proven ability to design and pitch customised logistics solutions that meet client needs
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business acquisition, identifying and securing clients across multiple sectors
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market share
- Build and nurture trust-based client relationships, ensuring a seamless customer journey from onboarding to after-sales support
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, maximising revenue within key accounts
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and sales forecasts
- Represent the company at industry events, forums, and trade shows
- Keep abreast of market trends, rates, and regulatory shifts to stay ahead of the competition
