Pretoria: Retail Assistant/Cashier

Key Responsibilities 🔸 Cashiering Duties Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner Process sales efficiently using the POS system Handle cash, card payments, and issue receipts accurately Balance the till at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies Address customer queries, returns, and basic complaints Keep checkout areas clean and well-organized 🔸 Stock Control Duties Receive, check, and unpack deliveries Update inventory records accurately Organize and store stock to prevent damage or spoilage Monitor fast-moving items and notify management of low stock levels Conduct routine stock counts and reconcile with system data Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) procedures to reduce waste ✠Requirements Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or stock control is a plus Basic math skills and computer literacy required Experience with POS systems and inventory software is advantageous (training provided) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High attention to detail and strong organisational skills Ability to multitask in a busy retail environment Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
