Responsibilities:

The daily physical demands are those required to work on the roads and storekeeping. Will be required to drive a vehicle with a trailer. Provide support on incidents/accidents on the route (road span over an area of ±380km) The candidate will be required to work in all-weather conditions. Overtime duties might be required from time-to-time. The work environment characteristics are those encountered on a typical toll road operation – including site work and working in the store. The work shall be located throughout the Bakwena Toll Road and therefore the Roads & Store Asst. will be required to travel and on occasion live outside of Pretoria along the route for specific periods of time. These include the following (other duties may be required). All duties take place in accordance with the Maintenance Manuals of the suppliers and the Concession Contract. Procure stock, equipment and machinery as per the Company Procurement Policy. Proper storing of stock, equipment and machinery in order to ensure easy identification of such items as per location and stock taking requirements as per the Company Store Policy. Proper record keeping of all purchases and issues of stock, equipment and machinery as per the Company Store Procedures. Repair all malfunctioning equipment as per the Maintenance Manual of suppliers Repair broken and damaged Road Furniture such as Guardrails, Road Signs and Poles of Road Signs. Ensure tools are kept in a good and clean working order Ensure all health, safety and security policies and procedures are followed at all times Ensure that all equipment, road furniture and machinery will be in good working order to ensure the Company can comply with all contractual obligations To perform overtime and standby duties as required.
