Job Description
Our client in the Arts and Culture sector is looking for a Supply Chain Manager. The candidate will report to the Chief Financial Officer.
Key responsibilities:
Develop SCM policy, the purpose is to ensure compliance with the National Treasure Act, PFMA and other practice notes
Establish and implement processes and procedures for procuring goods and services. This is to ensure that internal controls are in place and adhered to.
Make sure that irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure is avoided
Manage the organisation’s Tendering and RFQ processes, by ensuring that bid committees are established to ensure compliance with PFMA and National Treasury Regulations.
Managing the supplier’s contracts by ensuring that long-term contracts are entered info for continuous supply and provision of service.
Negotiate long-term contracts to ensure good value and reliable services. Maintain good relationships with the suppliers.
Provide leadership to the SCM department staff to ensure that there’s proper planning, work is properly coordinated.

Ensure segregation of duties among staff members.
Ensure that staff is capacitated by providing training
Preferred Minimum education:
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Finance or Public Admin
Minimum Experience Required:
8 Years’ experience, 3 years should be in Management
