About the Role
Our client in the Arts and Culture sector is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to report to the Chief Financial Officer. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with National Treasure Act, PFMA, and other practice notes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop SCM policy to ensure compliance with National Treasure Act, PFMA, and other practice notes
- Establish and implement processes and procedures for procuring goods and services to ensure internal controls are in place and adhered to
- Avoid irregular, fruitless, and wasteful expenditure
- Manage the organisation’s Tendering and RFQ processes by ensuring that bid committees are established to comply with PFMA and National Treasury Regulations
- Manage supplier contracts to ensure long-term contracts are entered for continuous supply and provision of service
- Negotiate long-term contracts to ensure good value and reliable services, maintaining good relationships with suppliers
- Provide leadership to the SCM department staff to ensure proper planning, work is properly coordinated, and adequate staffing
- Ensure segregation of duties among staff members
- Ensure staff is capacitated by providing training
