About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our client’s team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, with 8+ years of solid experience. This role requires a well-rounded developer who can excel in both back-end and front-end development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality software applications using Java, Spring Boot, and other relevant technologies
- Design, implement, and maintain complex back-end systems, including databases and APIs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the overall codebase
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
Requirements
- 8+ years’ solid development experience in Java
- Strong proficiency in back-end technologies, including Spring Boot, Docker, and MySQL database
- Experience with front-end technologies such as AngularJS, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Knowledge of Scrum Agile framework, Specification by example, and unit testing
Qualifications
- IT Degree (preferred); Diploma considered
- Java Certification (preferred)
