About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Temp Electrician & Maintenance (E&M) Technician to join our team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and access control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage technicians that form part of the Department
- Providing mentorship and guidance on performance and execution of daily duties
- Conduct daily and monthly inspections of all electrical, mechanical, access control, CCTV equipment and buildings at the plaza
- Repair all malfunctioning / damaged / broken equipment and buildings as per the Maintenance Manual/Standards
- Recordkeeping of all inspections in the prescribed manner
- Ensure tools are kept in a good and clean working order
- Comply with all health, safety and security policies and procedures at all times
- Manage Subcontractor that perform work on site/at Plaza ensuring:
- Work is delivered as per the scope
- Quality is as per the standards and escalate to supervisor in case of noncompliance
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and policies and procedures and escalate to supervisor in the event of non-compliance
- Apply best practice principles for stock control at plaza
- Timeous reporting as and when required
Requirements
- Grade 12 Qualified Artisan: Electrical/Mechanical
- National Certificate: N6 Engineering Studies (Millwright/ Industrial Engineering)
- Valid Unendorsed Code 10 Drivers License
- At least 5 years related experience
- Fluent in English
- Excellent Communication Skills (written & oral)
- Interpersonal relationship skills
- Self-management
