Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
To ensure stock is correctly inbounded on SAP, picked and delivered to customers accurately and on-time, and correctly recorded and reported so that it can be tracked efficiently to ensure on time, in full deliveries to customers. The role requires high levels of accuracy, urgency and planning, proactive inter-departmental communication and strict adherence to standard operating procedures and processes.
MEASURABLE OUTPUTS:
Accurate, timely preparation, prioritization and inbounding of stock on SAP
Accurate, timely despatch co-ordination (where a warehouse does not have an allocated Despatcher)
Accurate, timely inventory management
Participation in kaizen and innovation activities
Customer satisfaction and stakeholder engagement
Teamwork and self-management
TECHNICAL PRE-REQUISITE:
Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), particularly SAP or other relevant WMS
Basic systems knowledge, including MS Office
Sound administrative and reporting skills
Must have a Forklift and Reach Truck Operator Licence
Information and document management skills
Some knowledge of employee and industrial relations to be able to deputies for the Supervisor where needed
Vigilance and risk awareness (safety, environment and quality)
Safety, first aid and firefighting knowledge
Basic business and financial acumen
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
Higher certificate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Operations or Operations Management
Must have a Forklift / Reach Truck Operator license
EXPERIENCE
2+ years prior warehouse experience
Automotive / manufacturing / FMCG experience is preferred
