Job Description
A well-established sportswear manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Floor Manager to lead their production floor in Randburg. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of garment manufacturing processes, particularly managing teams of seamstresses and overseeing line machinery. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving output, streamlining workflow, and ensuring that daily production targets are consistently met without compromising on quality. This is a strategic operational role requiring a balance of people management, process oversight, and production efficiency.
Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the production floor

Lead and support a team of approximately 20 seamstresses and machine operators

Manage production timelines and ensure targets are met

Monitor machinery usage and line efficiency

Maintain high standards of product quality and workmanship

Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and workflow issues

Implement continuous improvements to boost output and team performance

Report on production metrics and liaise with senior management
Requirements:

10+ years of experience in floor or production management within a clothing manufacturing environment

Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and motivate production teams

Solid understanding of garment construction, sewing techniques, and machine operation

A practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving and team coordination

Currently employed in a similar position, with a stable work history

Ability to work under pressure and meet high-volume production targets
