Requirements:
LLB (LLM advantageous).Admitted attorney with 10+ years post-admission experience, including High Court litigation and civil law.Accredited by the SA LPC to act as a training supervisor.Proven management experience, including supervision of candidate attorneys.Passion for pro-bono work and engagement with underserved communities.Proficiency in multiple languages (advantageous).
Responsibilities:
Legal and Case ManagementLead High Court and regional legal matters, offering expert guidance and oversight.Draft complex legal documents, negotiate agreements, and manage high-stakes litigation.Supervise candidate attorneys to ensure quality client service within means test criteria.Leadership and OperationsManage clinic operations, including recruitment, performance evaluations, and LPC compliance.Oversee strategic planning, facilities management, and process improvements.Collaborate with Campus Heads and report to the Dean.Community EngagementBuild partnerships with township leaders, NGOs, and courts to advance access to justice.Lead outreach initiatives such as pro-bono.
