Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager who is also a qualified Millwright to join their team in Randfontein, GP. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance and repair in the food industry, as well as a proven track record of managing a team of maintenance technicians effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program for all machinery and equipment in the facility.
• Schedule and oversee routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing leadership, training, and support as needed.
• Coordinate with production managers to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize disruptions to production schedules.
• Procure necessary supplies, tools, and equipment for maintenance activities.
• Monitor and maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment.
• Develop and implement procedures for preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

• Qualified Millwright with a valid trade certificate.
• Proven experience in industrial maintenance and repair in the food/meat industry, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and best practices.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office and maintenance management software.
