Job Summary
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Must have an Honours/Master’s degree in Agronomy Soil Science Plant Production
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant Agronomy experience
- Knowledge of compilation of fertilizer programs is essential
- Knowledge and experience of onions is advantageous
- Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans, with good interpersonal and communication skills
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing and coordinating varietal screening trials in multiple crops, including but not exclusively onions.
- Handling complaints and supplying support and feedback to the Sales team in this regard.
- Providing weekly feedback to the Managing Director.
- Coordinating and providing product training.
- Presenting and assisting at farmers` days and agricultural expos.
- Interpreting data from various trials.
- Writing articles for newsletters, magazines, and marketing materials.
- Visiting farmers with the Production Advisors.
- Managing and evaluating commercial trials.
- Offering technical support to Production Advisors, Area Managers, and Farmers.
