About the Role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for establishing new business from new and existing clients, understanding client needs, and selling appropriate products and services. This role also involves maintaining customer relationships in their respective Regions through sound people management, good administrative practices, and compliance. The ideal candidate will prioritize growth, positive customer ratings, and meet sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure brand dominance and increase growth in your respective area
  • Create development plans and forecasting sales targets and growth projections
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities and new business
  • Manage client relationships and offer exceptional service
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Operations teams to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals
  • Develop, execute, and oversee a business strategy that prioritises growth and positive customer ratings
  • Conduct high-level industry research to develop effective sales solutions
  • Manage a pipeline of client engagements in line with the company’s CRM system

Requirements

  • Matric
  • Relevant 3-year qualification in Sales and Marketing (preferable)
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience with a proven track record
  • Experience within the mining, construction, and petrochemical industries is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of OHSA and MHSA
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)

Salary & Benefits

R30 000 CTC, plus commission and petrol card
