Job Summary
Requirements:
Qualifications : BSc/BTech in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering OR S/N6 Diploma P1 & P2 Experience : 10 years in winder systems (mechanical/electrical/hydraulic) 3 years in a leadership role (supervising teams or projects) OEM collaboration and capital project management (preferred) Technical Skills : Mastery of winders, headgears, ropes, and HV/LV systems Proficiency in PLCs, VSDs (analogue/digital), and SAP Strong grasp of Mine Health & Safety Act and technical audits Key Responsibilities Provide technical leadership for winder operations and troubleshooting Lead commissioning, repairs, and upgrades of shaft winder systems Define winder specifications with OEMs and ensure compliance Manage capital/renewals projects and budget oversight Conduct safety audits, revise Codes of Practice (CoPs), and mitigate risks Oversee the UTS Winder Department, including after-hours support
