About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our 5-star boutique hotel in Sandton, Midlands, KZN. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading a team of chefs and managing kitchen operations to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage kitchen operations and lead a team of chefs
- Develop and implement menus that showcase your culinary skills and creativity
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety
- Implement effective controls and systems to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Ensure excellent customer service and maintain a positive reputation for the hotel
Requirements
- Exceptional cooking skills and experience in a boutique hotel setting
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Proven track record of reliability and stability in previous roles (no more than 3 positions over the last 5 years)
- Good training skills and ability to develop and implement training programs for staff
- Strong controls and systems to ensure efficient kitchen operations
Qualifications
- Formal education in culinary arts or a related field (if applicable)
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: R30,000 – R45,000 per annum
