About the Role
The Operations and Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily performance of our solar PV systems, ensuring optimal efficiency and reliability. This role requires a strong technical background in solar PV systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead a team.
Key Responsibilities
- System Monitoring & Performance Management: Monitor system performance daily through monitoring platforms (e.g., Sungrow, Victron, Atess, Solis, Sunsynk, DSE webnet.) Identify underperformance, faults, or alarms and initiate corrective actions
- Analyse system data to detect trends, inefficiencies, and potential risks
- Maintain accurate logs of system performance and interventions
- Operations & Maintenance Coordination: Plan, schedule, and oversee preventative and corrective maintenance
- Ensure timely resolution of technical issues to maximize system uptime
- Coordinate with field technicians, subcontractors, and suppliers for spare parts and repairs and manage RMA process and tracking thereof
- Reporting & Documentation: Generate regular performance reports for management and clients under SLA
- Document all incidents, faults, and corrective actions via energy faults
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as uptime, yield, and response times
Requirements
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, batteries, generators and monitoring software
- Proficiency in analysing data and interpreting performance metrics
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Renewable Energy, or equivalent (preferred)
