About the Role
An international high-end confectionery company is seeking a Sales Executive to join their JHB Team in Sandton, Gauteng. The ideal candidate will have experience in FMCG and be able to drive sales growth and meet quarterly and yearly targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve Quarterly & Yearly Sales Budgets
- Ensure that expense budgets as set are not exceeded
- Maintain an expected call rate of 8 calls per day
- Plan and prepare for each call, including weekly, cyclical, and yearly planning
- Discuss promotional progress with store manager/owner during promotional periods
- Negotiate promotional elements, including:
- Increased shelf space
- Moving products to eye level if not already on display
- Reduction in retail selling price
- Increase in stock holding
- Monitor sales out of the customer and report results
- Hand over reports to Regional Sales Manager (RSM) on Friday mornings
- Provide monthly reports by area performance, reasons for success and failures, and action plans for under-performing stores
- Use tablet to collate and keep accurate data on calls completed and customers
- Work closely with Merchandising partners
- Supervise and train merchandisers in-store
- Report non-compliance to RSM on a weekly basis
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Two years of experience in FMCG Sales
- Valid Drivers License
- Excellent geographical knowledge of Sandton and immediate surrounding areas
