About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client in the Solar Energy industry is urgently seeking an experienced Operations and Maintenance Technician to join their team in Somerset West, Cape Town. As a key member of our client’s O&M department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of their solar energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform site inspections as required in preparation for Operations & Maintenance (O&M) after project completion.
- Schedule and conduct maintenance and repairs on all related components of a PV system.
- Complete O&M inspection checklists.
- Send monthly performance reports to the Head of O&M.
- Liaise with the Head of O&M for resource requirements, including the Bill of Materials when needed.
- Manage client relations specific to O&M.
- Maintain and develop department documentation related to O&M.
- Stay up to date with the latest Solar Performance Standards.
- Check DC compliance.
- Conduct project site production runs and site visits in preparation for handover to the O&M department.
Requirements
- Qualified Electrician or minimum 5 years experience in a similar role.
- IT/Communications and Solar knowledge/experience.
- Proficiency in Excel, excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Valid drivers license.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: R750K – R900K per year, negotiable. Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity), Training & Development, Paid Time Off (PTO).
