About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Secretary to join our team in Somerset West. As a key support role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our financial advisory practice, ensuring seamless client interactions, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scheduling meetings and general office administration
  • Assisting the financial advisor with client services, including preparation of meeting documentation, application forms, and follow-ups
  • Filing, capturing client data, updating spreadsheets, and word documents
  • Processing new business, including pre-populating documentation, checking proposals and application forms, and submitting them to service providers/insurance companies
  • Following up on client transactions, implementing new business, and drawing statements from service providers
  • Preparing presentations, investment summaries, and documentation for client review meetings
  • Maintaining FAIS and FICA compliance and other compliance requirements
  • Scanning and filing all new business documents in client folders
  • Providing general office duties such as filing, scanning, printing, ordering stationery, and other tasks

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Essential)
  • 3 years of experience at a financial advisory practice (advantageous)
  • Post-Matric qualification (postgraduate degree) (optional but an advantage)
  • Strong written and verbal language skills in both Afrikaans and English
  • Strong computer skills essential
  • Own vehicle, transport, and driver’s license essential

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 Certificate (if applicable)
