About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional to support the Head of Finance in managing daily accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions including reconciliations, payments, and financial records
- Prepare monthly management reports and assist with annual audits
- Process creditor payments, bank reconciliations, and debtor/creditor accounts
- Maintain fixed asset register and ensure accuracy of all financial transactions
- Submit statutory returns (VAT, EMP201) and administer payroll
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulations
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and report variances
- Support internal stakeholders with financial insights and reporting
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting (BCom preferred)
- Minimum 3 years relevant accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of VAT, payroll, tax compliance, and e-Filing
- Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement ability
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
