About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts in the Western Cape region, with a strong focus on technical sales within the Machine Tool, CNC, or manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving sales targets and possess excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow sales within the Western Cape region.
- Identify new business opportunities within manufacturing, engineering, and machining environments.
- Promote and sell CNC machines, cutting tools, and related solutions.
- Provide technical sales support and product recommendations to customers.
- Conduct customer visits, on-site consultations, and product presentations.
- Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and technical documentation.
- Negotiate pricing and close sales agreements.
- Maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients.
- Achieve and exceed regional sales targets and KPIs.
- Provide market feedback and competitor insights to management.
- Maintain accurate sales reporting and CRM updates.
Requirements
- Minimum 35 years of experience in technical sales within the Machine Tool, CNC, or manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of CNC machinery, cutting tools, and machining processes.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the Western Cape.
