Job Description: Assistant Lodge Manager and Seafaring Skipper

Job Duties:

• Assist in the management of lodge operations, including guest services, housekeeping, and maintenance
• Oversee and conduct seafaring activities, including sailing trips and boat maintenance
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
• Manage and coordinate staff schedules and tasks
• Assist in marketing and promoting lodge and seafaring services
• Handle guest inquiries and provide exceptional customer service

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Skipper’s licence
• Experience in managing lodge operations
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Knowledge of safety regulations in seafaring activities

Education:

Relevant qualifications in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of lodge management procedures
• Proficiency in seafaring techniques and navigation
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• First Aid certification
• Additional language proficiency

Working Conditions:

This role may require work on weekends, public holidays, and irregular hours. The position involves outdoor activities and exposure to varying weather conditions.
