Position: Assistant Executive Housekeeper Location: North West Province Industry: Hospitality Appointment Type: Full Time Employment Payment Type: Highly Competitive Monthly Salary Negotiable + Accommodation + benifits About the Role My Client a large Resort in the North West Province is seeking a meticulous and experienced Assistant Executive Housekeeper to support the daily operations of a luxury resort’s housekeeping department. This pivotal role involves overseeing the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities, ensuring that the highest standards of hygiene and service are consistently met. As the Assistant Executive Housekeeper, you will work closely with the Executive Housekeeper to manage a dedicated team, optimize operational efficiency, and enhance guest satisfaction. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining the resort’s reputation for excellence. Key Responsibilities Operational Oversight: Assist in managing daily housekeeping operations, including room cleaning, public area maintenance, and laundry services. Supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met. Address and resolve guest complaints and special requests promptly and professionally. Team Leadership and Training: Train; mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Ensure staff are knowledgeable about cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and resort policies. Assist in scheduling shifts and managing labor costs to align with operational needs. Inventory and Supply Management: Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of necessary items. Maintain accurate records of inventory usage and expenditures. Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Implement and uphold resort cleanliness standards and quality assurance protocols. Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance issues and ensure guest satisfaction. Qualifications and Experience Education: Minimum of a Grade 12 qualification; a diploma or degree in Hospitality Management is advantageous. Experience: At least 3 5 years of Exec Housekeeper or Assistant Exec Housekeeper supervisory experience in a housekeeping department within a hotel or resort setting. Proven track record of managing a team and maintaining high cleanliness standards. Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and housekeeping management software. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment, with a focus on safety and efficiency. Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Willingness to reside within the North West Province or relocate as required.
