About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and energetic Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to support the leadership of a high-end resort-style operation on a luxury private island in the Caribbean. This hands-on role is ideal for a hospitality professional passionate about guest experience, team development, and delivering exceptional service in a unique island environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the Food and Beverage Manager in leading and managing the department
- Training, mentoring, and developing the Food and Beverage team
- Driving guest interaction and building strong guest relationships
- Delivering personalised and memorable guest experiences
- Staying current with industry trends to enhance service and offerings
- Implementing and maintaining effective stock, inventory, and cost controls
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with other departments
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a high-end resort environment in a supervisory or management capacity
- At least 1 year of proven people management or leadership experience
- Previous experience in a quality 5-star resort or luxury property
- Strong knowledge of beverage services, including wines, cocktails, and mocktails
- WSET Level 2 or equivalent qualification
- High level of computer literacy, with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Proven experience in inventory control and stock management

Salary & Benefits
- Minimum 12-month contract, subject to work permit approval
- Competitive salary: USD 3,640 per month
- Performance-based bonus of up to 10% of annual salary
- 22 days paid annual leave plus bank holidays (5.5-day work week)

- Initial flights from country of residence and return flight at end of contract
