Position: Assistant Hotel Manager
Objective:
To manage and control the operational and accounting aspects of the Front Office, maintenance, and housekeeping departments, ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel. We aim to provide a memorable experience for all guests and add entertainment value to their stay.
Key
Requirements:
- Education: Matric (Hotel Management diploma is advantageous)
- Experience: 3-5 years in a similar role within a 4/5 star environment
- Skills: Proficiency in OPERA is essential, and knowledge of Micros is advantageous
Main
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the liaison between Reservations and Front Office Departments
- Balance accounts daily
- Conduct daily checks of all front of house, back of house, and guest areas for maintenance requirements, ensuring prompt action
- Manage debtors control
- Oversee travel platform management
- Achieve targeted food and beverage costs
- Maintain high service standards
- Follow recruitment procedures
- Conduct regular performance appraisals
- Provide on-the-job training
- Participate in progressive disciplinary action as needed
- Collaborate with all departments for special offers and cross-selling
