About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Camp Manager / Host / Barman / Front of House professional to join our team at a luxury lodge near Mapungubwe National Park and Musina. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences and supporting overall lodge operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the Camp Manager with day-to-day lodge operations
- Hosting guests: welcoming, engaging, and ensuring an exceptional lodge experience
- Managing front-of-house operations including check-ins, reservations, and guest relations
- Bartending responsibilities such as beverage service, stock control, and maintaining bar presentation
- Supporting the dining and housekeeping teams as needed
- Coordinating staff and overseeing operations during the manager’s absence
- Maintaining high levels of cleanliness, service, and guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous lodge, hospitality, or guest-facing experience
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a remote lodge environment
- Bar experience (cocktail knowledge highly advantageous)
- Professional, well-presented, guest-focused approach
- Driver’s licence beneficial but not required
- Ability to work long hours, especially during peak tourism seasons
- Honest, reliable, and comfortable working in a bush and wildlife setting
