Cedar Wood is looking for a female Assistant Lodge Manager for our client in Zambia The lodge has a small staff complement is seeking a passionate female assistant lodge manager. A like – minded individual who will fit well into a small team. The lodge prides themselves on return guests and excellent guest experience. We need someone who is passionate about upholding company values and team work. It is a multi – faucet position where you will be required to be flexible and have a guest centric work ethic. This is a great opportunity for a bush loving hospitality professional. As the assistant manager you will work hand in hand with the team to deliver exceptional guest experience. You will be working closely with the GM in a support role. We need someone who is completely comfortable with all front of house and back of house operations. We need someone with strong guest liaison capabilities. You will be responsible for the FOH team, daily FOH duties as well as hosting. Further responsibilities: Housekeeping in all aspects : Room checks, stock control, linen checks, ordering Food and beverage : Work hand in hand with the kitchen to maintain critical food standards Stock control : ordering , receiving, weekly and monthly stock take. Lodge Admin : Petty cash, Staff rosters Logistics : Arrivals , departures and any guest related activities. Requirements We need the applicant to be comfortable working in a very remote location and with no dependants. 10 years experience in the hospitality industry in a supervisory position Physically and mentally capable to work in a remote location Fluent in English Computer literate Willing to learn and fit into a well developed team Excellent communication and problem solving skills Excellent attention to detail Guest centric work ethic and excellent guest liaison skills Culturally aware and able to relate to people easily Organised and Pro – active Strong logistical skills and able to work calmly and efficiently if under pressure Financially aware and able to learn new systems Work cycles will be discussed in line with lodge operations $1750 pm DOE during operating season and a retainer during off season when leave is taken Work Permit will be organised by the company Uniform Meals and accommodation Please submit your CV and cover letter in PDF format
