About the Role
Farm Manager SA is seeking an experienced Avocado Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of our avocado farm in South Africa. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tree crops and excellent knowledge of avocado farming, with a proven track record of success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day farm activities, including crop monitoring and maintenance
- Ensure efficient use of resources, minimizing waste and maximizing yields
- Maintain accurate records of production, sales, and finances
- Develop and implement strategies to improve farm productivity and profitability
- Supervise a team of farm workers and provide guidance and support as needed
Requirements
- Agricultural Diploma/Degree
- At least 3 years’ experience in tree crops
- Knowledge of Avocado farming and strong understanding of Avocado production
- Good record keeping skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Attention to detail
- Hardworking, driven to succeed, and initiative
- Excellent communication
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid passport
