Job Description
The President Hotel is entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation, and we are creating a new opportunity for an experienced Banqueting Floor Supervisor to join our team.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Banqueting Supervisor to oversee the smooth running of conferences, events, and banquets. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team in delivering world-class service for events of all sizes.
Experience & Requirements

Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in banqueting, events, or F&B service within a 4- or 5-star hospitality environment

At least 1 year in a supervisory or team leader role

Diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management or Event Management advantageous

Strong knowledge of banquet operations, event setups, and service standards

Ability to manage teams effectively and coordinate across multiple departments

Excellent communication and guest relations skills
-
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel systems (Opera PMS advantageous)

South African citizen with a valid ID
Duties & Responsibilities

Supervise the daily operations of the banqueting department, ensuring smooth execution of events

Oversee setup, service, and breakdown of conferences, weddings, meetings, and banquets according to hotel standards

Lead and motivate the banqueting team, ensuring service excellence and guest satisfaction

Liaise with clients, event organisers, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless event delivery

Monitor staff performance, provide training, and support career development

Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times

Assist with managing inventory, equipment, and supplies for the banqueting department

Report operational performance, guest feedback, and improvement opportunities to management
