About the Role
Mecs Africa is seeking an experienced Team Manager with a strong background in Blockchain/Distributed Ledger Technology and Crypto to lead our Research Development and Innovation team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing teams, leading projects, and providing thought leadership in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of multi-disciplinary professionals in a research development and innovation environment
- Lead project management and research project leadership for blockchain/distributed ledger technology and crypto-related initiatives
- Provide high-level conceptualisation and thought leadership in the field
- Develop business development strategies and financial acumen to drive growth
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering, information technology or related field
- At least six years’ experience in blockchain/distributed ledger or cryptocurrency-related technologies within a Research Development and Innovation environment
- Sound experience in managing a team of multi-disciplinary professions
- Proven track record in project management and research project leadership
