Live-In Position
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a qualified and experienced Back of House Manager to oversee the Finance and Reception departments at a luxury safari lodge within the Kruger National Park during staff absences. The successful candidate will ensure smooth operational management across these functions while supporting the lodges overall service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee Finance and Reception operations when key staff members are on leave.

Support financial functions including budgeting, reporting, and cash flow monitoring as required.

Ensure accurate accounts payable, receivable, and payroll processes during staff absences.

Maintain compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.

Provide support to management with financial and operational information for decision-making.

Implement and maintain internal controls and operational procedures across departments.

Ensure smooth guest-facing operations at Reception when required.

Supervise and mentor junior staff in Finance and Reception where applicable.

Assist in liaising with external auditors or service providers if needed.
Requirements:

Relevant financial or management qualification preferred (e.g., CA(SA), ACCA, or equivalent).

Proven experience managing Finance and/or Reception in a hospitality or luxury lodge environment preferred.

Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a remote lodge setting.

High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Valid drivers licence preferred.
-
Willingness to live on-site within the lodge property.
