About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Nature Guide to join our team at the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of South Africa’s most biodiverse regions. As a guide, you will work alongside dedicated colleagues to provide exceptional experiences for high-profile visitors and nature lovers from around the world.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead guided tours in the De Hoop Nature Reserve, Fernkloof Nature Reserve, Walker Bay Nature Reserve, and Klein River Estuary
- Provide expert knowledge on fynbos, birdlife, and marine ecosystems to visitors
- Develop and deliver engaging and informative presentations on nature reserves and their unique features
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless tour operations and exceptional visitor experiences
Requirements
- Experience & knowledge of Overberg Birdlife, Fynbos & plant life, Marine & ecosystems
- Physically fit & healthy with at least 5 years’ experience as a guide
- Minimum CATHSSETA Nature Site Guide (NQF2) / FGASA Nature Guide (NQF2) or higher qualification
- Up-to-date Registration with the National Department of Tourism (NDT)
- Valid South African driver’s license WITH (PDP)
