About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Centre Manager to join our team at The Oval Shopping Centre. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the centre’s operations, including tenant relations, maintenance, leasing, and marketing. With your expertise, we aim to maintain a high standard of service excellence and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily centre inspections and walkabouts without fail
• Manage tenant liaison and identify potential problematic tenants with suggested remedial solutions
• Provide guidance and support to all on-site staff
• Maintain a maintenance & operations file, ensuring currency for various records, including OHS compliance issues, asset registers, tenant records, and more
• Negotiate lease renewals and sourcing new leases within parameters set by the Property Manager
• Coordinate marketing efforts and provide support to tenants’ in-store campaigns
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner

Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of experience in a relevant field, preferably in retail management or property management
• Proven track record of effective tenant relations and conflict resolution
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess market trends and industry movements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with various stakeholders, including tenants, contractors, and marketing suppliers
• Proficiency in using property management software and databases

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) or relevant diploma or degree
• Relevant experience in a similar role or industry
