Job Description
The position involves machining a wide variety of parts in small series or single pieces according to drawings and machining instructions on 5 axis machinery.
There is no programming involved, the CAD/CAM department is making programs for the tools. You are responsible for the quality of work delivered, the daily maintenance of own equipment and tools, the cleanliness of the workplace and performing the work according to the safety and environmental rules.
Read and check drawings and work instructions;
Check supplied parts and or materials;
Determine the cutting and auxiliary tools required, machining sequence and clamping technique(s) by yourself from drawing and Job-Plan;
Handle technical work preparation, prepare complete CNC programs, enter them at the machine and stores them;
Make part using primarily CNC milling techniques, as well as other techniques such as boring, drilling, reaming, tapping and deburring from various materials;
Consider the material types to be machined when determining and grinding cutting tools and determining machining parameters;
Checks products for size and finish according to the Client Standard Quality Manual;
Test out new tools;
Provide onboarding (knowledge transfer) and supervision of interns, new or less experienced colleagues, temporary workers, etc.;
Discusses improvement suggestions with the Group Leader and with Engineering
