Job Description

A well-established brand is seeking two Coffee Excellence Regional Trainers, one based in Cape Town and the other based in Gauteng also overseeing KZN. As a Coffee Excellence Trainer, you will be responsible for training, monitoring and auditing coffee quality within the group and stores (Franchise and Corporate). Additional Tasks: You will be required to identify areas of poor-quality concerns and develop and recommend action plans to address these areas and improve the current processes. Training / Correcting Areas of concern identified in store with Management/Crew and or Franchisees Provides training and upskilling of company trainers and operational support teams. The role also includes information gathering, analysis and presentation. Identify and communicate issues raised with the relevant Operations team, offering recommended solutions relevant to the business and risk. Contributes to improving training programs and procedures relevant to the needs of the business. Obtain and review monthly reports from our suppliers & external coffee auditors Manage relationship with coffee suppliers and hold them accountable for performance Supports activities of the Brand Standards Auditing Department Records performance on coffee equipment within the group and provides technical expertise to team and suppliers Analyzing product quality in store by tasting products when needed. Coordinates internal barista competitions. Must be willing to travel if/as required SKILLS REQUIRED: Ability to observe and understand business processes ensuring processes are documented completely and accurately. Ability to apply audit standards through practical application. Proactive in researching business best practice concepts to apply as appropriate. Solid listening skills and ability to identify gaps in logic should be inquisitive Strong organization and follow up skills including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all deadlines and commitments. Solid understanding and ability to apply risk and control concepts; ability to identify underlying cause of an issue. Ability to determine the quality of coffee products. Ability to articulate and train others with a hi level of barista techniques. QUALIFICATIONS Relevant matric (Grade 12 or equivalent) and relevant tertiary qualification. Certified Barista & Certified Barista Trainer. EXPERIENCE: Five years related experience in similar industry and position Previous experience in performing auditing would be advantageous ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Only open to SA Citizens Must have your own transport with a valid drivers license Excellent communications skills Computer literate
