Situated in the heart of the Breede River, this beautiful luxury retreat & spa offers 360 degree panoramic mountain views and magnificent accommodation with international standards comprising individual private villas for a maximum of 16 guests. Each Villa offers absolute privacy with rooms surrounded by breath-taking mountains and scenic horizons far beyond the Breede River. ProStaffSelect are in search of a skilled and youthful ASSISTANT LODGE MANAGER / FRONT OFFICE DUTY MANAGER / GUEST RELATIONS MGR to take on responsibilities for daily operations and to oversee Front Desk Reception, Reservations, Concierge, Guest Relations, Housekeeping and F&B when needed. REQUIREMENTS: At least 4 – 5 years relevant experience within a luxury hotel environment (other industries will not be considered) Hotel / Hospitality Management qualification or similar managerial training is essential Valid SA drivers license essential Fully bilingual in English & Afrikaans (Afrikaans mother tongue ideally) Protel PMS Front Office Systems knowledge essential SKILLS REQUIRED: Knowledge of front of house, financial and billing procedures Excellent communication skills – with guests and fellow staff members Computer Literate: Microsoft Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Outlook; Pastel Good organizational and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving skills; ability to make decisions quickly, adapt to changing circumstances, and find effective solutions to issues that may arise Lateral thinking ability with effective leadership & management skills, a team player who leads by example Exceptional attention to detail and levels of accuracy and someone who takes initiative A candidate who is able to lead others, motivate staff and change staff attitudes Strong personality and negotiation skills Professional, courteous, hospitable to guests Must be able to cope under pressure to meet guests needs Honest, proactive and driven personality Evening duties often required to cover for guest arrivals as well as meeting with corporate clients & wedding clients Candidates need to have strong admin and control skills
