A City Centre Four Star Guest house is currently seeking a Duty Manager A candidate would require the following qualifications to be considered for the position Job Summary: The Duty Manager is responsible for effectively computing, classifying and recording numerical data to keep financial records complete while assisting with the day to day operations of the property. Administrative Computer literate – advantageous Hotelier experience. Understand the day to day hotel operations and functions Ensure all accounts are properly checked and paid prior to guests depart the hotel. Record monies collected and prepare banking daily Ensure that all proper and legal documents are received upon guest check in and entered into the computer accurately Communicate with Property Managers regarding accuracy of invoices received; that purchase orders are attached, according to company procedures. Ensure that all invoices received for the property are approved and authorised correctly. Maintain accurate monthly commission sheets which get handed in monthly. · Receive all telephone calls and in-person visits. Listen to resident requests, concerns and comments. · Quickly complete maintenance Service Request and inform the maintenance team. Answer questions and queries from guest. Follow up on a timely basis if unable to respond to residents on all matters · Maintain open communication with Property Management and Maintenance Management. · Contribute to cleanliness and assist on a day to day basis with daily operations and cleanliness of the property. · Enforce and carry out the hotel policies & procedures and ensure the safety of the guest’s and staff are monitored at all times and any concerns raise it immediately with the management. · · Essential Job Functions: · High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred. · A minimum of one year experience in a customer service Guest Hotel related industry · Demonstrate an ability to support and contribute to the dynamic team which manages the property efficiently. · Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills. · Competence in operation of telephone, business etiquette, , facsimile, personal computer/keyboard, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and MS Outlook · Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to smile under all circumstances. · Participate in training in order to comply with company rules and procedures. · Ability to work a flexible schedule, including shifts, evenings, weekends and public holidays · Neat, clean, professional at all times, person of sober habits · Demonstrate ability to diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalation of the problem. · Successfully pass drug & alcohol test. · Own Transport ESSENTIAL · Salary neg based on experience – to be discussed at interview stage · FUNDAMENTAL Values: · Honesty, Integrity, Competence, Tenacity& Enthusiasm, Creativity, Professionalism, Drive · If you feel you have the right qualifications and requirements for the above-mentioned position, please forward your CV with contactable references & ID to Cindi Onia via e-mail – Apply Below and quote the reference : GUEST HOUSE DUTY MANAGER
