About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Duty Manager to join our team at the Luxury Lodge in Madikwe Game Reserve, North West. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all guests have an exceptional and memorable experience during their stay with us.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet, greet & host guests, making them feel at home
- Informing guests about lodge facilities and offerings
- Coordinating check-ins and check-outs
- Overseeing of lodge employees
- Maintain housekeeping standards in lodge and coordinating Room preparation
- Report and Follow up Maintenance concerns
- Control, management and administration of stock through systems and procedures
- Handling complaints as they arise, resolve complaints, and then follow up to make sure everything’s back on track
- Ensuring guests have a pleasant experience
- Take care of guests with special needs, responding to guests’ needs and anticipating their unstated ones
Requirements
- Proven work experience in a similar role in a 4/5-star lodge essential
- Ideal candidates will have a flair for communication, with the ability to resolve issues in a timely and accurate manner.
- Understanding of all lodge management best practices and relevant laws
- Hands-on experience with Hotel Management software (PMS)
- Proficiency in English
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Customer service driven with outstanding communication and active listening skills
- Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
- Leadership skills along with the ability to motivate a team into high performance
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Strong sense of responsibility and a professional presentation
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
Qualifications
Degree / Diploma in hospitality is advantageous
