About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Endurance Engineer to join our team for a 1-year fixed-term contract. As an Endurance Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling a group of vehicles on endurance tests, analyzing problems encountered during testing, and preparing detailed vehicle test reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and control a group of vehicles on endurance
  • Accurately identify, analyze, and report on problems encountered during testing
  • Prepare and analyze measured test data for test vehicles
  • Compile detailed vehicle test reports and results
  • Ensure special test requirements are met to ensure release milestones
  • Liaise with local and overseas engineers on vehicle tests and development
  • Update the company’s systems with vehicle and fault diagnosis

Requirements

  • South African citizen
  • National Diploma/ Degree in a suitable engineering field (Electrical/Mechanical, Mechatronics advantageous)
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the automotive, vehicle component or testing industry
  • Sound knowledge of and ability to evaluate the total vehicle and its operation
  • Exposure to testing and measuring vehicles, with a good understanding of the operation and functioning of an automobile
  • Knowledge of internal combustion vehicles, including their drive trains
  • EV and Hybrid vehicle knowledge is advantageous
  • Understanding of diagnostic systems used to manage vehicle SW, problems, and repair instructions
  • Understanding of technical engineering concepts and design

Qualifications

  • Languages: able to speak, read, and write English (German/Portuguese/Afrikaans would be beneficial)
