Job Description

Our manufacturing client is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Engineer with 5+ years experience to join their team in Blackheath, Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be an SA citizen with a Millwright / Mechatronics Engineering qualification able to work MS Office to produce reports, provide support as well as test, write and validate technical information. You must also have a valid passport for international travels.

Non-negotiable Requirements:

Millwright or Mechatronics Engineering qualification
Minimum of 5 years experience in a Technical / Manufacturing environment
Strong hands-on ability with a passion for producing detailed written reports
Excellent planning, organisational and client interaction skills
Business English proficiency (written and verbal)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Solid attendance record with sound references
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong adherence to quality, health and safety standards
Valid driver’s license and passport
Live in Western Cape

Responsibilities:

Provide technical and after-sales support
Write and validate technical documentation
Develop and maintain a database of technical specifications
Supply technical information to marketing, sales, spares, and customers
Participate in projects and research initiatives
Conduct testing and validations
Deliver training sessions
Travel nationally and internationally for training, projects, commissioning and fault finding
